LangStage

Every stage for your LangGraph agent — web, terminal, JupyterLab, VS Code, and documents

Overview

LangStage is a family of front ends for LangGraph agents. Write your agent once — any CompiledGraph, from a single ReAct agent to a multi-agent supervisor — and run it on every stage with the same spec string, the same langstage.toml config, and the same LANGSTAGE_* environment variables. It grew out of Cowork Dash, DeepAgent Code, and DeepAgent Lab, which now live on as langstage, langstage-cli, and langstage-jupyter.

Work Done

  • Web (langstage): chat with real-time streaming, tool-call cards, a canvas for Plotly/matplotlib/Mermaid, a workspace file browser, a task board, and scheduled runs
  • Terminal (langstage-cli): a Claude Code-style CLI for any compiled graph
  • JupyterLab (langstage-jupyter) and VS Code (langstage-vscode) chat surfaces
  • Documents (langstage-codraft): co-author paged documents block by block, with approval-gated agent edits and per-block version history
  • Shared core (langstage-core): the AG-UI streaming bridge and config resolver behind every stage
  • Reference agent (langstage-hermes): a self-improving reflection and skill-creation agent
  • Nightly clean-room dogfood runs against every published package

Looking For

  • Teams running LangGraph agents who want a UI without writing one
  • Feedback on the AG-UI integration and multi-agent streaming
  • Contributors for new stages
